According to the Public Relations Department of Shokri Industrial Group, Engineer Almasi, CEO of Sima Foulad Jahan, stated: “Considering that the furnace at Sima Foulad Jahan was designed and constructed in 2015 and subsequent monitoring revealed that its energy consumption (gas and electricity) exceeds standard levels, a task force comprising company experts and the technical office of the complex was formed to address this issue. This team investigated ways to reduce energy consumption and optimize the furnace. After conducting extensive research and evaluating existing designs, a project titled ‘Furnace Consumption Optimization’ was selected as the winning proposal.”
He noted: “After completing the technical stages, conducting further reviews, and utilizing the company’s internal resources, including the installation of necessary equipment and additional thermocouples, furnace energy consumption during idle times was reduced by 35% for electricity and 70% for gas.”
